On behalf of this institution, I welcome you to the new official website of Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya (RKM), Established in 1950. This website is an initiative to provide a platform for the students, teachers and parents to find necessary information and at the same time establish a direct link with the college authorities The College is situated at Kailashahar, a northern part of the state of Tripura. It is with profound sense of humility and privilege that I address this message as the new Principal (i/c) of this prestigious co-educational institution which has come a long way since its inception.
RKM is aiming to groom, nurture and churn out the potential knowledge seekers who are entrusted to our care under sincere, compassionate, inspiring and stimulating atmosphere. We firmly believe in giving our learners strong values along with a set of wings that may carry them far and wide. RKM has carved a signature in the educational map of Tripura and north east India. We focus to provide a meaningful education which evoke the inherent brilliance, character building, innovations and moral upbringing of our students and give a shape to perfection.
RKM is a NAAC accredited college and has 19 Departments, imparting teaching both in Hon’s and Pass courses along with NCC, NSS, Science Forum, Red Ribbon Club, Biotech Club etc. as co-curricular activities. The college has approximately 2300 students on its rolls pursuing their graduation in various faculties of Arts/Humanities, Sciences & Commerce. To harness and channelize the untapped energy of the youth in the right direction, the college lays great emphasis on student participation in sports and extra-curricular activities, both at the college, University, State and National level. The college has a well stocked library and a gymnasium for its students.
Despite all challenges and adversity, our academic mentors are constantly making every effort to reach out to the teaching-learning needs of the students. I will strive hard to continue the long lasting legacy of accomplishment established by my worthy predecessors and to earn greater heights. Assured that as we leap forward, our students and their needs will always be at the centre of the decisions we make. Together with all, I look forward to the wholehearted cooperation and support from all the stakeholders to lead this institution to greater glory.
I thank every one of you who are, in some way or the other, associated with this institution and look forward to your continued support and collaboration in our endeavour towards the fulfilment of our goal. The talented and dedicated students and faculty at RKM have always played a vital role in making RKM an institution par excellence. I strongly hope that all students who join the RKM fraternity will take it to still greater heights.
